BRAND DEVELOPMENT

 

Location – we will not compromise on the selection of locations.

 

Franchisees will benefit from the continual research and development undertaken on a world-wide basis to keep up with new developments and trends regarding the menu, products, recipes, design and specifications.

TERMS OF TRADE

Terms of Trade to Franchisees

Monthly royalty payments to O’Hagan’s H/O are 6% of revenue.

Monthly marketing payments to O’Hagan’s are 3% of revenue.

FRANCHISEE PROFILE

An O’Hagan’s Franchise would need to have the following attributes

  • Understanding of the specific target market or territory for which an O’Hagan’s will be considered.

  • Financial security with sufficient capital to set up the operation.

  • The desire to be involved in the food and beverage industry.

  • Enthusiasm, self-confidence and a willingness to learn

  • Management and leadership skills.

  • People skills

 

 

THE O’HAGAN’S IRISH PUB AND GRILL CONCEPT AND CULTURE

 

  • Each franchisee will be taken through a professional marketing and customer service/customer experience presentation, with regards to the culture and concept.  

  • This presentation will explain to the franchisee exactly what O’Hagan’s is about and what is required of that franchisee.

 

 

LOCATION PROCUREMENT

 

  • Franchise sales and property procurement go hand in hand and therefore regular meetings about the development and the roll-out of the brand will be needed to conclude the pub openings.

  • The O’Hagan’s Irish Pub & Grill Company will have a standard lease agreement, which will form the basis of negotiating with landlords for sites.

LOCATION / SITE ASSESSMENT

 

Feasibility studies will be carried out for potential areas.  Once an area has been identified as being viable, suitable sites and premises will be sourced through property agents and developers or our own contacts, taking the following criteria into account:

 

  • Existing restaurants to convert.

  • High visibility on a main road.

  • Ground floor only.

  • Close proximity to business and residential, to ensure a good balance between daytime and evening trade.

  • Preferably free-standing.

  • Adequate parking.

  • Accessibility.

  • Vacant premises, houses or land (with correct zoning) where landlords or developers will assist with base rentals.

  • Major new developments will be considered.

  • Suitable neighbours.

 

 

Detailed demographic studies and careful site selection will be undertaken.

 

O’Hagan’s will achieve sufficient success in secondary markets i.e. towns or cities with populations of between 60.000 and 80.000.  This is over and above the major cities and suburbs of those cities.

 

There is a huge opportunity in the smaller towns in South Africa to roll out the O’Hagan’s brand.

 

Irish Pubs have a universal appeal across many cultures and have been extremely successful not only across South Africa but also in over 120 countries world-wide.

Some of the most unusual places to find one or more Irish Pubs are Baku in Azerbaijan, Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, Gili Trawangan in Indonesia and Ushuaia in the most southerly tip of Tierra del Fuego.
